Softball Recap: St. Vincent Academy Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

St. Vincent Academy put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the American History Eagles 23-4. That's more bragging rights for St. Vincent Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

St. Vincent Academy pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for American History, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

St. Vincent Academy will face off against West Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Roughriders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something St. Vincent Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for American History, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-0 loss against West Orange on the 1st.
