Baseball Recap: Randolph County Takes a Loss

Randolph County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Reeltown Rebels. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Randolph County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Robinson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Randolph County's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Reeltown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph County will host Central of Clay County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Randolph County has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Reeltown, they will square off against Marbury at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Marbury sitting on 11 straight wins and Reeltown on three.
