Baseball Recap: King/Drew Beats Fremont for Their Fourth Straight Victory

King/Drew came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Fremont Pathfinders. This was a revenge game for the Golden Eagles: when they faced off against the Pathfinders back in April, they had to take a 9-4 defeat.

Hades Carranza made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Carranza wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Robert Salazar, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Salazar has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

King/Drew's record is now 16-4. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

King/Drew does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremont, they will face off against Eagle Rock at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
