Soccer Recap: South Summit Comes Up Short

South Summit lost against American Heritage back in August of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-1. South Summit have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their goal came courtesy of Sophie Smoot, who's now up to 13 this season.

South Summit's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for American Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

South Summit has already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against American Prep WV on the 7th. As for American Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Draper APA on the 7th.
