Baseball Recap: Sebastian River Comes Up Short

Sebastian River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to the Martin County Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 back in February.

Sebastian River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Weise, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Sebastian River's record now sits at 2-11. As for Martin County, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebastian River will face off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Centennial's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Sebastian River's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Martin County, they will square off against Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
