Volleyball Recap: Grantsburg Takes a Loss

Grantsburg was the 2-1 winner over Cadott when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Despite the loss, Grantsburg saw an underclassman step up: freshman Eden Burkman had 17 digs and three aces.

Grantsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Cadott, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-8.

Grantsburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Eau Claire North on the 4th. As for Cadott, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Baldwin-Woodville on the 4th.
