Soccer Recap: Gibbs Comes Up Short

Gibbs fell victim to Halls and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. While losing is never fun, Gibbs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Halls are ranked 43rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Gibbs and nudges their season record down to 8-8-1. As for Halls, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season.

Gibbs wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 6-0 victory against Clinton on the 5th. Halls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
