Soccer Recap: Mount Pleasant Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Mount Pleasant duked it out with Union Academy on Monday. The Tigers came up short against the Cardinals, falling 7-1. Mount Pleasant haven't had much luck with Union Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Mount Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-2. As for Union Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Pleasant will head out to take on Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Union Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Union Academy are facing South Stanly at the right time seeing as South Stanly are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
