Preview: Bordentown Scotties vs. Burlington Township Falcons

Bordentown and Burlington Township are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Bordentown Scotties will head out on the road to take on the Burlington Township Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bordentown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Burlington Township likes a good challenge.

Bordentown pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holy Cross. Bordentown has struggled against Holy Cross recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Myles Hansford, who scored 14 points along with eight assists. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Eunmin Choi was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, Burlington Township waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They strolled past Pemberton with points to spare, taking the game 70-51.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burlington Township to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaron Ferguson, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. Ferguson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Quayd Hendryx, who scored ten points along with five assists and four steals.

Bordentown's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Burlington Township, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Bordentown hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 56.2 points per game. It's a different story for Burlington Township, though, as they've been averaging only 61.2 points per game. The only thing between Bordentown and another offensive beatdown is Burlington Township. Will they be able to keep them contained?

Bordentown couldn't quite finish off Burlington Township in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 57-54. Can Bordentown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
