Basketball Recap: Camden Winkelman Key Part of Team Effort in Broncos Win

Centennial won the last time they faced Wilber-Clatonia and things went their way on Friday too. The Centennial Broncos managed a 43-37 win over the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centennial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camden Winkelman, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 16 points. What's more, Winkelman also posted a 55% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Ryan Richters was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

Loss or not, Wilber-Clatonia got some senior leadership from Aiden Zajicek and Garrett Nohavec. Zajicek went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds, while Nohavec made all 6 shots he took for 12 points. Zajicek is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jameson Conway, who posted seven points and six boards.

Centennial's record is now 12-10. As for Wilber-Clatonia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Centennial will square off against Aquinas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilber-Clatonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
