Softball Recap: Charles Henderson Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Charles Henderson was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against the Pike Road Patriots, falling 18-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost five in a row.

Charles Henderson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katy Lynn Lee, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Keirstin Gamble also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Charles Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Pike Road, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-19 record this season.

Charles Henderson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Dale County on the 10th. As for Pike Road, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-1 win against Providence Christian on the 10th.
