Softball Recap: Shadow Hills Makes It 13 in a Row on the Road

Shadow Hills's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rancho Mirage Rattlers a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won eight matchups by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Shadow Hills got a massive performance out of Gianna Hernandez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Walls, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Shadow Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rancho Mirage only posted a batting average of .176.

Shadow Hills' win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.2 runs. As for Rancho Mirage, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Shadow Hills will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Astoria at 6:30 p.m. As for Rancho Mirage, they will head out on the road to square off against Shadow Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
