Baseball Recap: American Fork Triumphs

While American Fork's win against Corner Canyon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavemen had just enough and edged out the Chargers 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Cavemen in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won three in a row.

Cruz Adams looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cache Poulson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Gavin Robinson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

American Fork's record now sits at 12-8. As for Corner Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

American Fork will have a chance to go back-to-back against Corner Canyon: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
