Morrilton won the last time they faced Maumelle and things went their way on Thursday too. The Devil Dogs walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Hornets. Winning may never get old, but the Devil Dogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Morrilton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Maumelle, they moved to 15-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morrilton will venture away from home to face off against Quitman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Devil Dogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Maumelle, they will head out to take on Beebe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 2.8, the Badgers 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
