Baseball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-3 to the La Mirada Matadores. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Matadores this season, with their most recent defeat being a 23-4 loss back in March.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for La Mirada, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Warren and La Mirada should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Bears (ranked 83rd) will meet Woodrow Wilson (ranked 244th) at 6:30 p.m. on the 11th. Meanwhile, La Mirada will challenge Downey at 3:15 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (3 vs. 126).
