Soccer Recap: Vintage Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Vintage won the last time they faced Petaluma and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vintage Crushers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Petaluma Trojans. Given the Crushers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Trojans are ranked 669th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Henry Drozdowicz and Jose Ramirez scored all three of Vintage's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Vintage pushed their record up to 9-2-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Petaluma, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vintage has already played their next match (against Sonoma Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Petaluma will be playing at home against Casa Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Casa Grande's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
