Volleyball Game Preview: Villa Madonna Vikings vs. Boone County Rebels

The Villa Madonna Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Boone County Rebels at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday, Villa Madonna came up short against Bishop Brossart and fell 2-0. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Boone County hadn't done well against Dixie Heights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Rebels came out on top in a nail-biter against the Colonels, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since October 7, 2024.

The win (which was Boone County's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. As for Villa Madonna, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Villa Madonna beat Boone County 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
