Softball Recap: Calvary Chapel Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Calvary Chapel was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bell on Monday. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Eagles. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Grizzlies' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Chelsea Lopez was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivianna Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Calvary Chapel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory snapped Calvary Chapel's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-11 record. As for Bell, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Calvary Chapel is taking a road trip to take on Western Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Grizzlies will need to watch out since the Fighting Lancers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Bell, they will be playing at home against Roosevelt at 3:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
