Soccer Recap: Fort Zumwalt West Takes a Loss

Fort Zumwalt West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Howell Central Spartans. While losing is never fun, Fort Zumwalt West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Howell Central are ranked ninth).

Fort Zumwalt West's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Howell Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-1-2 record this season.

Fort Zumwalt West will head out to face off against Howell North at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Howell Central, they will square off against Howell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
