Basketball Recap: Ocracoke Skates Past Washington Montessori with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manteo, Ocracoke was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They claimed a resounding 71-18 win over the Washington Montessori Eagles. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Dolphins considering their 20-point performance the contest before.

Ocracoke's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Washington Montessori, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocracoke will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Albemarle School at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Washington Montessori, they are taking a road trip to face off against Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
