Basketball Recap: Weiss Takes a Loss

Weiss lost against Round Rock Westwood back in November of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Weiss Wolves came up short against the Round Rock Westwood Warriors, falling 75-49. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Warriors are ranked 39th).

Weiss has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Round Rock Westwood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Weiss will be taking part in a tournament against Pearland at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Pearland will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Weiss surely won't give up without a fight. As for Round Rock Westwood, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Austin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Round Rock Westwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.
