Irving has gone a perfect 5-0 against Pearce recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Irving Tigers will take on the Pearce Mustangs at 7:00 p.m.

Irving took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Pearce 8-7. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Shantia Haymer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Royce Johnston was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Cardenas, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Pearce's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Irving, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-8-1.
