Soccer Game Preview: St. Stephens vs. Hibriten

The St. Stephens Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Hibriten Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, St. Stephens and North Lincoln finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Hibriten unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of T.C. Roberson by a score of 1-0. Raegan Watts was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Hibriten's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1. St. Stephens' draw makes their record 3-1-2 this season.

St. Stephens couldn't quite get it done against Hibriten in their previous meeting back in April of 2018 as they fell 3-1. Can St. Stephens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
