Volleyball Recap: Emma Ehrler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Galena over Pontiac

Galena lost against Pontiac on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Indians. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Ehrler, who had five digs, two aces, and one block. Ehrler is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 30 games she's played. Zoe Blaum was another key player, getting ten digs.

Galena's loss dropped their record down to 26-6. As for Pontiac, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

Galena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against River Ridge on the 23rd. As for Pontiac, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cissna Park on the 18th.
