Basketball Game Preview: HALO Wolfpack vs. Promise Prepatory Academy Knights

The HALO Wolfpack will square off against the Promise Prepatory Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. HALO knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Promise Prepatory Academy likes a good challenge.

HALO is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Covington Academy 84-55. The Wolfpack pushed the score to 57-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

HALO's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trenton Grissom, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 13 boards. The contest was Grissom's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Kenneth Haynes was another key player, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 22 rebounds.

HALO smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Promise Prepatory Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to White Creek Christian Academy on the road by a 75-58 margin.

HALO's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-11. As for Promise Prepatory Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3.
