Basketball Game Preview: Phoebus Phantoms vs. Denbigh Patriots

Phoebus is on a ten-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Denbigh a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Phoebus Phantoms will welcome the Denbigh Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-22, which was the final score in Phoebus' tilt against Warwick on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Phantoms can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Raiders are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 96-10, which was the final score in Denbigh's tilt against Menchville on Tuesday.

Denbigh's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Phoebus, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-11.
