Weddington is 8-2 against Sun Valley since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Weddington Warriors will take on the Sun Valley Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Weddington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.4 points per game this season.

Weddington took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against East Mecklenburg by a score of 56-47.

It was another big night for Kj Younger, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 22 points and eight rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Weddington's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Zepp, who posted 13 points.

Weddington was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Mecklenburg only racked up six assists.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sun Valley). They breezed by Gray Stone Day to the tune of 75-32 on Wednesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Spartans with their most commanding win of the season.

Sun Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Weddington, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Everything came up roses for Weddington against Sun Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 78-40 win. Will Weddington repeat their success, or does Sun Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
