The Soddy Daisy Trojans will head out to square off against the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Soddy Daisy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over Chattanooga Central on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Pounders: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Knoxville Catholic had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 3-1.

Manny Maurer looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
