Baseball Recap: Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Catholic Central Shamrocks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Irish of the 7-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Central Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vinny Reamer, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Central Catholic now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Catholic Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Catholic Central beat Central Catholic by a score of 7-0 later that day.
