Baseball Game Preview: Eastmoor Academy Warriors vs. South Bulldogs

The Eastmoor Academy Warriors will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the South Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastmoor Academy, who comes in off a win.

Eastmoor Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Walnut Ridge as Eastmoor Academy made off with a 14-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Labron Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Williams was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Damario Whitson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Eastmoor Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, South had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against Franklin Heights on Saturday, falling 19-1.

Eastmoor Academy took their win against South in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-7. Will Eastmoor Academy repeat their success, or does South has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
