University Prep is a perfect 4-0 against Trinity since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The University Prep Panthers will take on the Trinity Wolves at 4:00 p.m. University Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Saturday. University Prep took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKinleyville. The defeat continues a trend for University Prep in their matchups with McKinleyville: they've now lost five in a row.

David Wenham was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaos Martin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Trinity had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Enterprise, falling 9-3.

University Prep now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Trinity, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-1.

University Prep skirted past Trinity 11-10 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for University Prep since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
