Basketball Recap: Lawrence Lions vs. Southeast Golden Buffalo
Lawrence won the last time they faced Southeast and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lawrence Lions snuck past the Southeast Golden Buffalo with a 72-67 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Southeast still got an impressive performance from Parker Hardgrave, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Hardgrave's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydin Araujo, who went 6 of 11 en route to 16 points and five boards.
Lawrence's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Southeast, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Lawrence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-41 defeat against Highland Park on the 24th. Southeast has also already played their next contest, a 69-66 win against Shawnee Mission North on the 24th.
