Recap: Rockmart Yellowjackets vs. North Murray Mountaineers
The Rockmart Yellowjackets won the last time they faced the North Murray Mountaineers, and things went their way on Friday too. Rockmart came out on top against North Murray by a score of 49-41.
Rockmart's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Analee Morris led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Morris is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hindmon, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Rockmart is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for North Murray, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Rockmart will head out on the road to face off against Model at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Model will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Rockmart surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Murray, they will be playing at home against Murray County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Murray County will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something North Murray surely won't give up without a fight.
