Recap: Springport Spartans vs. Bronson Vikings
After a string of three wins, the Springport Spartans's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 63-56 to Bronson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Springport in their matchups with Bronson: they've now lost seven in a row.
Springport lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tucker Wiginton, who scored 18 points. Wiginton has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Braydon Hawes, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Springport's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Bronson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Springport will head out on the road to face off against Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Concord is ranked 263rd, while Springport is ranked 268th). As for Bronson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Maple Valley at 7:00 p.m.
