Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Forest Hills Eastern's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northview, Forest Hills Eastern was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Kenowa Hills Knights as they made off with a 17-2 victory. Considering the Hawks have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Raena Scully was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Hancart, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Forest Hills Eastern is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That lines up perfectly with their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.1 runs over those games. As for Kenowa Hills, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Coming up, Forest Hills Eastern will challenge Catholic Central at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Kenowa Hills, they will host Coopersville at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
