Baseball Recap: Grace Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Grace Academy came into Thursday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Calvary Christian Academy by a score of 7-2 on Thursday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Calvary Christian Academy, too.

Grace Academy's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Earley, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Earley is becoming a predictor of the Knights' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-6 when he doesn't).

Grace Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Grace Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Calvary Christian Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
