Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for San Ramon Valley

San Ramon Valley extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 13-6-2 in the process. They blew past the Dougherty Valley Wildcats 12-2. Considering the Wolves have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lila McLeod looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Addie Layous was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aryana Hodjat, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

San Ramon Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

As for Dougherty Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Dougherty Valley's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Millert, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
