Baseball Recap: Winston Academy Comes Up Short

Winston Academy lost to Starkville Academy back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots lost 14-1 to the Volunteers. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winston Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Goforth, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Winston Academy now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Starkville Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Coincidentally, Winston Academy and Starkville Academy will both be playing Pillow Academy the next time they take the field. The Patriots will head out to face the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Volunteers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
