Baseball Game Preview: North Mason Bulldogs vs. Olympic Trojans

North Mason hasn't had much luck against Olympic recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Trojans at 4:15 p.m. Neither North Mason nor Olympic posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Wednesday, North Mason came up short against Bainbridge and fell 4-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Mason got a good showing from Pauli Calafiore, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Calafiore has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Calvin Rice was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Olympic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Lakeside, falling 8-2.

North Mason's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Olympic, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

North Mason suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Olympic in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
