Baseball Recap: Bradford Comes Up Short

Bradford suffered their closest defeat since May 10, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Halls Tigers by a score of 5-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 12-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Bradford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carver Cates, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Cates has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Bradford has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. The victory (which was Halls' third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

While Bradford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
