Softball Recap: Mooreville Takes a Loss

Mooreville fell victim to Choctaw County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Troopers were not able to get on the board.

Mooreville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckenna Hutcherson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Mooreville now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Choctaw County, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-11.

While Mooreville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
