Basketball Game Preview: Winside Wildcats vs. Ainsworth Bulldogs

The Winside Wildcats will take on the Ainsworth Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Winside has now lost 16 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 19.

On Tuesday, Winside was beaten by Stanton 62-30.

Meanwhile, Ainsworth took a blow against Stuart on Tuesday, falling 76-49. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Broncos are ranked 106th).

Ainsworth's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Winside, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.

Things could have been worse for Winside, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-43 loss to Ainsworth in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ainsworth's Logan Schroedl, who went 7 of 12 en route to 19 points and five assists.
