Basketball Recap: Ravenwood Takes a Loss

Ravenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 62-45 fall against the Independence Eagles. The Raptors were probably out for revenge after losing 56-52 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ravenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Independence, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Ravenwood will take on Pope John Paul II in a tournament on Friday. Pope John Paul II knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Ravenwood likes a good challenge. Independence will take on Brentwood Academy in a holiday battle at at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
