            Newark Memorial fought the good fight in their extra-innings  matchup against Washington  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result.  Noah Hanohano was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run.
