Soccer Recap: Asheboro Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Asheboro was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Piedmont Panthers finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Wednesday.

Carlos Gonzalez and Ozmar Martinez scored both of Asheboro's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Asheboro's draw gives them a new season record of 2-1-1. As for Piedmont, they moved theirs to 1-0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Asheboro will square off against Mooresville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mooresville's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Piedmont, they will head out on the road to face off against Montgomery Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
