Football Game Preview: Princeton Panthers vs. McKinney Lions + How To Watch

The Princeton Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the McKinney Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Things were looking good for Princeton after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 26-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Plano. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Marcus Flowers, who threw for 344 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 48 yards. Princeton's leading receiver Collin Fannin-White was Flowers' top target yet again, picking up 218 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, McKinney fell victim to Allen and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Eagles, falling 62-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Eagles are ranked second).

Having lost for the first time this season, Princeton fell to 4-1. As for McKinney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Princeton was dealt a bruising 62-27 loss at the hands of McKinney when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
