Basketball Recap: Elizabethton Takes a Loss

Elizabethton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 55-33 to the David Crockett Pioneers. The match marked the Fighting Cyclones' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

David Crockett got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brylee Tullock out in front who went 8 for 20 on her way to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Tullock has scored at least a third of David Crockett's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Story, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards.

Elizabethton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for David Crockett, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.

Elizabethton will venture away from home to take on Unicoi County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for David Crockett, they will host West Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
