Softball Recap: Hempstead Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Hempstead duked it out with Brazos on Monday. The Bobcats came up short against the Cougars, falling 15-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 two weeks ago.

Hempstead has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Brazos, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-16-1 record this season.

Hempstead will head out on the road to take on Hitchcock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Brazos, they will welcome East Bernard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Brahmas will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
