Basketball Recap: Ithaca Takes a Loss

If Ithaca was feeling good fresh off their 49-28 takedown of La Farge last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs were beaten by the De Soto Pirates 82-38 on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since February 10, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Ithaca dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for De Soto, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ithaca will take on River Valley in a holiday battle at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for De Soto, they will be home for the holidays to greet Seneca at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
