Flag Football Game Preview: Portal Panthers vs. Greenbrier Wolfpack

The Portal Panthers will challenge the Greenbrier Wolfpack at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Portal's defense has only allowed 7.8 points per game this season, so Greenbrier's offense will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when Portal faced off against Swainsboro on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 19-6 win over the Tigers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Tigers are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Greenbrier waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 19-0 victory over the Golden Hawks.

The critical scores for Greenbrier came from Mamie Cate Pangle, Libby Brooker, and Jayla Ayler.

Greenbrier's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Ari Boone was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks herself.

Portal's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Greenbrier, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
